The Current Capital Investment Plan (CIP)

About the CIP

As a blueprint for the transportation system of the future, the FY 2025 – 2029 CIP sets out many urgent priorities for the MBTA. Through this plan we seek to:

Public Engagement

The public comment period for the proposed FY 2025 - 2029 MBTA CIP was held April 25 – May 16.

During this time, the MBTA hosted one virtual public meeting and one in-person public meeting to provide an overview of the proposed CIP and invite attendees to share their feedback.

The comments received during the CIP public engagement process help us better understand which investments the public would like us to prioritize. Additionally, your comments help guide the development of the current and future capital plans. Public feedback is important to the CIP development process, and we appreciate your input.
