Transit officer honored for work during Boston Marathon, saving man from jumping off roof

"It’s amazing what some people in our community are doing and we don’t know,” says city Councilor Barry Sinewitz. He read about MBTA Transit Police Sgt. Steve O’Hara saving a man prepared to leap off a parking garage roof two years ago, and Sinewitz recently learned of the lifelong Peabody resident’s key roles in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombing last year.
