MBTA awards contract for Beverly-Salem bridge repairs

BEVERLY — Long-delayed repairs on the MBTA railroad bridge between Beverly and Salem should be complete by late next year. The MBTA's Fiscal Management Control Board on Wednesday unanimously approved awarding J.F. White Contracting Company a contract for nearly $16.2 million to complete work on the bridge.
