The Casey Arborway Upper Busway Canopy and Wayfinding Signage Project
The new Upper Busway Canopy for the expanded upper Busway at Forest Hills Station on the Orange Line will facilitate year round Bus Operations. The expanded Upper Busway deck and the foundations for the Canopy have been designed and are being constructed as part of the ongoing MassDOT Casey Arborway Project. The Upper Busway Canopy project will also incorporate new wayfinding, tactile Braille and Porcelain Enamel signage for the Public and Employee areas of the Orange Line, Commuter Rail, Busways and Lobby areas of the Forest Hills Intermodal Station required for the opening of the MassDOT Casey Arborway Project.
Funding and Construction
The Casey Arborway Upper Busway Canopy and Wayfinding Signage Project will be funded by a MassDOT ISA. The design and construction will be managed by the MBTA and the construction documents will be issued in the MBTA format.
The project team hosted a Public Meeting on November 2, 2016 to present the 60% design. The meeting materials can be reviewed below.
