Green Line Extension Team to Host Outreach Event
DBE’s and Small Businesses are encouraged to attend
MassDOT/MBTA and White Skanska Kiewit, JV, are pleased to announce our first outreach event for the
GLX Project. This event will focus on the following topics:
- Introduction to the Green Line Extension (GLX) Project
- CM/GC Delivery Method
- GMP Package Breakdown with anticipated bid dates
- Potential DBE Opportunities within each GMP Package
- Introduction/Review of DBE Certification Process with SDO Representative in
Interested subcontractors and vendors must register by emailing Mark Smith at WSKdbe@jfwhite.com. Include company name and the names of those attending. Due to space limitations please attempt to limit your participation to no more than 2 representatives.

The GLX Project will extend existing Green Line Service through Cambridge, Somerville, and Medford. Major items of work include: track, construction of 6 new stations and a Maintenance Vehicle Facility, viaduct and bridge construction, drainage and utility work, signals and communication.

GREEN LINE EXTENSION CMGC PROJECT
DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) GOAL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) has established a proposed Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal of 14% for the Green Line Extension CM/GC Project. This goal is in accordance with the regulations of U.S. DOT 49 CFR Part 26. A description of the goal and the process for establishing the goal are available for inspection during regular business hours, for 30 days following the date of this notice at the MassDOT Office of Diversity and Civil Rights (ODCR), 10 Park Plaza, Room 3800, Boston, MA 02116.
MassDOT and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) will accept comments on the goal for 45 days from the date of this notice. Comments for MassDOT should be sent to MassDOT’s Office of Diversity and Civil Rights (ODCR). Comments to be submitted to the USDOT should be sent to the Civil Rights Officer, U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Transit Administration, 55 Broadway, Suite 920, Cambridge, MA 02142-1093.
