Scope of Work:
Work includes, but is not limited to: removal and replacement of the historic Walpole Station Roof. The Contractor shall furnish all engineering, labor, materials, services, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary to completely remove the existing roofing material and install a new slate roofing system as specified herein. This includes new slate roofing system, new bead board soffit, new terra cotta decorative finials, removal and reinstallation of existing decorative terra cotta ridge trim, new flashings, new wood trim to match existing, new copper lined wood gutters to match existing , new downspouts, and connections to existing penetrations. The resulting roof drainage system is to be made clear and operational. The work also includes removal of asbestos containing materials in the existing roofing system and in the attic space.
