MBTA ePS System

The MBTA has begun to transition all inventory procurements under $25,000 to our Internet based Electronic Procurement System (ePS). We have partnered with iRail, LLC to deliver this improved technology to you. A through trial has proven that this system will create greater opportunities, efficiency, and accuracy for you, as well as the MBTA.

Your firm will have a greater opportunity for notification and to compete for the MBTA's parts and materials purchases. As a registrant to the MBTA e-Procurement System, you will be able to access our bulletin board where bid items will be posted on line and will be accessible 24 hours per day. More importantly, you will be automatically notified when a product or commodity selected by you, is being purchased by the MBTA. You will find the system to be very intuitive and very easy to use.

The MBTA e-Procurement System requires no special equipment or software other than your web-enabled PC. The system mirrors our existing quotation and procurement process and procedures. Registration for the e-Procurement System is quick, simple and cost effective. To insure your successful start up, the MBTA will offer free web based training to ensure your company fully benefits from your participation in this business enhancement.

We invite you to join us in utilizing our e-Procurement System. We believe that our suppliers can reap substantial benefits through increased business, efficiency and reduced costs.
