The CharlieCard Store supports the needs of our reduced-fare customers and serves full-fare CharlieCard/CharlieTicket users requiring special assistance.
Location: Downtown Crossing Station concourse (adjacent to the Red and Orange lines)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*
Reduced fare customers
Seniors (65+), persons with disabilities, and blind/visually impaired customers can request a Senior Pass, Transportation Access Pass (TAP), or Blind Access Pass at the CharlieCard Store.
In addition, paratransit customers may add credit to their RIDE accounts at the store.
CharlieCard users may replace a damaged or expired card at the CharlieCard Store. In addition, customers with commuter checks may add value to their CharlieCard/CharlieTicket at the store.
Note: The CharlieCard Store cannot replace lost or stolen CharlieCards. Lost or stolen CharlieCards can only be replaced if they have been registered online at the MyCharlie Account Center. To apply for a replacement online or to register your CharlieCard, please go to the MyCharlie Account Center. Replacement CharlieCards are mailed directly to the registered user.
Effective September 1, 2016, the CharlieCard Store will no longer process transactions that can be completed at a fare vending machine, such as adding stored value or a purchasing a monthly pass.
Consolidation (exchange) policy
Customers with CharlieCards or CharlieTickets with stored value remaining on them may consolidate a minimum of five (cards) per request by completing and mailing a consolidation request form. Only cards/tickets purchased with cash are accepted.
*The CharlieCard Store is closed on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington’s Birthday, Patriots’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. The CharlieCard Store closes at 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
