Branches Affected: Braintree
Starting January 01: Effective January 1, PayByPhone will be the only means of payment for Quincy Adams surface parking and Braintree pick-up/drop-off area garage spaces

In order to improve the convenience and experience to our commuters, MBTA Parking Services will be testing PayByPhone as the only means of payment at Quincy Adams surface parking spaces and Braintree garage spaces in the pick-up and drop-off area. This pilot will not apply to the gated spaces inside of the garages.

You have the option to sign up for PayByPhone by downloading the free mobile app or by calling the number on the PayByPhone signs posted in the parking lot and following the payment instructions. At Quincy Adams and Braintree, usage of PayByPhone will continue to be free and payments will be license plate-based (no space numbers).

If you opt to not use PayByPhone, a $7 parking fee invoice will be left on your vehicle. You have twenty-one (21) calendar days to pay this parking fee in order to avoid additional penalties. Follow the payment or appeal procedure on the back of each invoice to address the invoice in a timely manner in order to avoid penalties.

Your CharlieCard could be expiring soon. Please check the expiration date at any fare vending machine today. And pick up a new card if you need one before the end of the month.

If your CharlieCard has expired or is set to expire soon, please pick up a replacement card at the CharlieCard Store at Downtown Crossing or at the following select stations during the following times:

- Alewife - Monday-Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm
- Arlington - Monday-Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm
- Ashmont - Monday-Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm
- Back Bay - Monday-Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm
- Dudley Square - Monday-Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm
- Forest Hills - Monday-Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm
- Harvard Square - Monday-Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm
- Kenmore - Monday-Saturday, 7 am - 7 pm; Sunday, 10:30 am - 7 pm
- Maverick - Monday-Friday, 7am - 7 pm; Saturday, 7 am - 2 pm and 4:30 pm - 7 pm; Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm

Your monthly pass and/or stored value will be transferred to a new card.

Can't get to the CharlieCard Store? Mail your expired card to:
