MBTA Mobile Ticketing App Now Available

Customers on four MBTA Commuter Rail Lines, north and west of Boston, will be able to use their smartphones instead of paper tickets to ride the train as part of a pilot to bring mobile ticketing to the MBTA commuter rail network. Fare Increase/Service Reductions Proposed to Close Budget Shortfall

12/01/2011: Station Elevators at Porter Square Station Out of Service
The elevator which leads from the lobby level to the commuter rail platform at Porter Square station will be out of service for approximately 7 months beginning in mid December.  This is due to elevator replacement work. 11/09/2011: Alert - No Red Line Service at Stations North of Harvard (From Nov. 2011 to March 2012)
