No Smoking Violation Leads to Grand Larceny Arrest at South Station

MBTA Transit Police said they arrested a man on a grand larceny warrant after he was caught smoking in a non-smoking area.

Police said Robert Gallagher, 35, of Roxbury, Mass. was standing directly below a "No Smoking" smoking a cigarette when he was approached by officers.

Police said that as they were getting ready to issue him a citation, they discovered he was wanted on a grand larceny by scheme warrant.

Gallagher was arrested on the warrant and issued a citation for smoking in a non-smoking area.
