Public Meeting | Longwood Medical Area Bus Circulation Study Project Update (Virtual)
Meeting Info
Attendees: Open to everyone
Event Description
Join us virtually to learn the latest on the Longwood Medical Area Bus Circulation Study. The project team will share the project background, key findings from the Existing Conditions phase of the study, and plans for engagement on routing and infrastructure alternatives in early 2026.
The Existing Conditions phase of the study focuses on documenting how transportation currently works in the area. The full Existing Conditions report will be posted on the Longwood Medical Area Bus Circulation Study webpage closer to the meeting date.
The Better Bus Project plans to increase bus service to the Longwood Medical Area by roughly 75%. However, the 2022 BNR Plan did not determine exact routes, stop and layover locations, or bus circulation patterns in the LMA. These decisions were designated for future study.
The LMA Bus Circulation Study will produce recommendations for new routing through the Longwood Medical Area. These recommendations could include changes to roadway designs and investing in infrastructure improvements along key corridors.
