Shuttle Buses Replacing Green Line D Branch Service between Reservoir and Kenmore for 8 Consecutive Weekends Beginning October 27-28

Posted on October 26, 2018

No shuttle service to or from Beaconsfield; use Reservoir or Dean Road on the C branch.

The MBTA reminds its customers that shuttle buses will replace Green Line D branch trolley service between Reservoir and Kenmore Stations in both directions for 8 consecutive weekends beginning this weekend, October 27-28.

These shuttle bus service weekends allow for work to take place for the Green Line D branch’s Track and Signal Replacement Project, the Fenway Portal Project, and capital construction work between Beaconsfield and Kenmore.

“While we acknowledge this may cause an inconvenience to some of our customers, this work will allow our crews to advance the necessary work as part of the Green Line Transformation Project,” said MBTA General Manager Luis Manuel Ramírez. “Upgrading our core infrastructure is key to delivering the kind of service improvements that our customers deserve.”

The weekends in which D branch service is replaced with shuttle buses are:

  • October 27-28
  • November 3-4
  • November 10-11
  • November 17-18
  • November 24-25
  • December 1-2
  • December 8-9
  • December 15-16

Customers should note that there will be no shuttle bus service to or from Beaconsfield Station. Customers should instead use Reservoir Station or Dean Road on the Green Line C branch.

Customers should anticipate an additional 15 minutes of travel time during these weekends.

All shuttle bus stops are accessible for persons with disabilities.

In the event of a noise issue or complaint, area residents or property abutters are encouraged to report the issue to the 24/7 noise hotline at 508-676-3550.
