The Brockton Commuter Rail Fare Initiative has ended.

From December 1, 2020, to March 15, 2022, the MBTA offered reduced Commuter Rail fare options to eligible Brockton residents. Riders were able to take the Middleborough/Lakeville Line from Brockton (Campello, Brockton, and Montello) to Boston for $2.40 per trip, the same price as the Zone 1A or subway fare.

The program aimed to reduce crowding on Brockton Area Transit (BAT) bus service to Boston and allow for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
