Completed Work

Over the last two weeks, crews have:

  • Initiated construction of new bus stop platforms
  • Continued installation of new traffic signal equipment

Upcoming Work and Travel Impacts

Over the next two weeks, crews will continue working along the corridor to construct new platforms at:

  • Columbus Avenue @ Walnut Avenue (outbound)
  • Columbus Avenue @ Dixwell Street (outbound) – once completed this will replace the current stop at Weld Avenue
  • Columbus Avenue @ Bray Street (inbound)
  • Columbus Avenue @ Dimock Street (inbound)

Crews will work Mondays through Saturdays, from approximately 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day. For safety reasons, there may be occasional lane reductions, parking space removals, and minor detours for pedestrians around work zones.

Temporary adjustments to entrances of abutting properties may be necessary around work zones, however, access will be maintained for businesses and private properties at all times.

The schedule for this major infrastructure project is weather-dependent and subject to change without notice.
