Green Line Transformation Weekly Progress Update: January 31 – February 5

GLT projects will improve safety, reliability, and access for Green Line riders and the surrounding communities.

On January 28, The GLT team hosted a virtual meeting to kick off the B Branch Station Consolidation project. Construction will begin on February 15.

This week, crews made structural upgrades to the Lechmere Viaduct and began preparing for upcoming track replacement. The project is now at 53% completion.

As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
