On weekdays, March 1-May 2, buses will replace all Fitchburg Line trains between Littleton/495 & Alewife for a connection with the Red Line while we upgrade the signal system for Positive Train Control (PTC). A dedicated bus schedule will be in effect. MBTA.com/FBGwork
There will be no service at Silver Hill, Hastings, Porter Square or North Station. Porter Square passengers may connect to the Red Line for travel to or from Boston. Shuttle buses are free and accessible but bikes will not be allowed on board buses.
There will be 2 bus options: -one express service between Alewife and South Acton -one service making all local stops between Alewife and Littleton Please note that additional weekdays may be added to the bus diversion as work progresses on the Fitchburg Line. There is no weekend service on the Fitchburg Line.

Service Change
Contrary to previous communication, Fitchburg Train 1402 (8:45 am from Wachusett) and Fitchburg Train 1408 (3:40 pm from Wachusett) will operate on schedule between Wachusett and Littleton.
