Public Meeting for Weekend PTC Work on Lowell Line
The MBTA has announced that a public meeting has been scheduled on Wednesday, July 26, at Lowell City Hall regarding Positive Train Control (PTC) installation taking place on the Lowell Commuter Rail Line beginning in the late summer and the alternative travel options being provided.
PTC is a federally mandated safety control system that prevents train-on-train collisions and human error. From August 5 through October 1, there will be no weekend Lowell Line train service while PTC is installed. Replacement shuttle bus service will be provided to all stations along the Lowell Line during this time.

This meeting is accessible to people with disabilities and those with limited English proficiency. For more information or to request reasonable accommodations and/or language services, please contact Katy Zazzera at 857.368.8986 or by email at email@example.com.
