Public Hearing | Fare-Free Bus Program

Event Description

Service on routes 23, 28, and 29 will be fare-free for two years, from March 1, 2022 through February 29, 2024. During this time, The RIDE paratransit service will also be fare-free for customers making trips that begin and end within 3/4 mile of these routes.

This program is funded by the City of Boston.

A virtual public hearing will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. During the hearing, the MBTA will provide an overview and take comments on the fare-free bus program.
