MyCharlie Site Retirement


At 8 AM on November 15, 2023, the existing MyCharlie site will be permanently retired and replaced with an updated version that is more accessible and easier to use.


With the new MyCharlie site, you’ll be able to:

  • Register multiple cards and see them all in one place
  • Protect your CharlieCard balance against loss, theft, or damage
  • Quickly request replacement cards
  • Sign up for automatic payments in just a few clicks

What this Means for MyCharlie Users

If you already have a MyCharlie account, we’ll automatically migrate all your information to the new site—all you’ll need to do is sign up for an MBTA account using the same email address you used for MyCharlie.

Recurring monthly passes through MyCharlie will be discontinued on November 15. Your pass will be valid for the rest of the month, but you’ll need to sign up for Auto-pay if you want to continue recurring payments after November. Please note that with Auto-pay, you’ll get a new card in the mail—we cannot load Auto-pay passes onto your existing CharlieCard.

What this Means for Auto-pay Users

If you have an existing Auto-pay subscription, you don’t need to do anything for now. You can continue to manage your card and buy passes through the Auto-pay portal. We’ll let you know when we’re migrating your information to MyCharlie.

Starting on November 15, prospective Auto-pay subscribers will need to make an MBTA account and sign into MyCharlie to create a new Auto-pay subscription. In the meantime, you can sign up here.

If you have a reduced fare card (like a Senior or TAP card) and want to sign up for Auto-pay, you can sign up using this form. We’re adding reduced fare Auto-pay to MyCharlie in the near future.
