Construction 1-Week Look Ahead

Work Hours

The MBTA's contractor, LM Heavy Civil Construction, is working at Wollaston and Quincy Center Stations in 2 shifts:

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Night shift: 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM

On Monday, January 15 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day), LMH will be working the day shift.

On Sunday, January 14 and Monday, January 15, there will be no night shift work. Night shift work will resume Tuesday evening, January 16 and continue through Friday evening, January 19. Night shift work requires bus shuttles between North Quincy and Braintree Stations.

Weekend diversions will begin next weekend, January 20, with the Red Line shutdown between North Quincy and Braintree Stations.

Current Activities

Wollaston Station on the Red Line closed to passengers on Monday, January 8. The parking lot on site remains open. Free bus shuttle service is now provided to either the North Quincy or Quincy Center Stations.
