Timeline: September 2019 – Winter 2021
Status: 100% design; in construction

As part of the Brookline High School Expansion project, accessibility improvements are being made at Brookline Hills Station. This work is being funded by the Town of Brookline and will be done in conjunction with the construction of a new school building that will span over the Green Line D Branch.

The station is closed at this time. Customers can take the Green Line from nearby Brookline Village station. An accessible shuttle is available between Brookline Hills and Brookline Village, picking up at 46 Tappan Street.

This work will be coordinated with flood control work at Fenway, track and signal replacement, and accessibility upgrades at Newton Highlands to ensure that there are as few disruptions as possible.

Additionally, pedestrian access paths to the platform may need to be rerouted during construction, as seen in the photo above.
