Green Line Transformation Weekly Progress Update: January 17 – 22

GLT projects will improve safety, reliability, and access for Green Line riders and the surrounding communities.
This week, crews worked on the Lechmere Viaduct Rehabilitation, continuing to install carbon fiber wrapping on the underside of arches to strengthen the historic structure. Additional teams placed timber ties on the deck, which will serve as the foundation for the track. The project is now at 52% completion.

As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
