The pedestrian bridge at Suffolk station is closed for repairs (April 2022)

We’ve closed the pedestrian bridge at Suffolk Downs station so that we can make critical structural repairs.

Projected completion: Summer 2022
Status: Construction

Why We’re Doing This Work

Until construction is completed, riders cannot move safely between inbound and outbound platforms. We have closed the bridge until construction is completed and the bridge has been brought to a state of good repair.

Building a Better T

As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.

Service Impact

While the bridge is closed for repairs, riders cannot move between inbound and outbound platforms without leaving the station.

Riders who need to connect to the opposite platform during the bridge closure can exit at Orient Heights or Beachmont, then take a train back to Suffolk Downs.
