Suffolk Downs Pedestrian Bridge

The blue-painted steel pedestrian bridge at Suffolk Downs station on the Blue Line is closed for repairs to begin in spring 2022. The bridge connects the Bennington and Walley street platforms.

Status: Complete

Construction on the pedestrian bridge at Suffolk Downs station concluded in fall 2022. We have re-opened the bridge and the bridge has been brought to a state of good repair to ensure riders can move safely between inbound and outbound platforms.

As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
