Installing Automatic Door Openers in 33 Stations

We’re installing automatic hardware at any station or MBTA parking facility where a door is required to enter or exit—a total of 74 door openers across 33 stations. These stations will have at least one automatic door at the main entrance.
Riders will begin to notice new automatic door opener poles at stations soon. Crews are installing openers throughout the rest of this year, and all door openers will be installed by early 2022.
