Elevator Closure (Ongoing)
Andrew Elevator 872 (Unpaid lobby to street), Elevator 879 (Ashmont/Braintree platform to paid lobby), and Elevator 880 (Alewife platform to paid lobby) are out of service through spring 2019 while they are being replaced.Customers looking to exit the Red Line at Andrew should exit at Broadway and utilize a station call box or see station personnel to request shuttle bus service to Andrew. Shuttle bus pick-up is located on the Dorchester Avenue side of Broadway Station. Customers looking to board at Andrew should utilize shuttle bus service to Broadway to make Red Line connections.
The elevators are being taken out of service to facilitate a full replacement of the elevator lifts, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
