Service Change Ongoing
MBTA service levels have been increased in the interest of the health and safety of our riders and employees. All riders must use face coverings when on the MBTA.   MBTA.com/coronavirus

MBTA Fares During the COVID-19 Outbreak

As an immediate response to the pandemic, and in an effort to encourage social distancing and keep riders and employees safe, the MBTA reduced weekday service and increased cleaning and sanitation measures on vehicles and at stations. As part of Governor Baker's reopening plan, we are gradually increasing service again.

As people adjust to their new routines—and with many still working from home—fewer people are riding the T. Here are some of the most common questions riders are asking about fare prices and passes.

If you have any further questions, please contact Customer Service at 617-222-3200.
