Service Change OngoingOn the weekends of July 9-10 and July 16-17, Haverhill Line trains will terminate at Malden Center with connecting service on the Orange Line to North Station. This will allow for work on the North Station Signal Improvement Project. MBTA.com/northstationFares
Train fares should be purchased between originating station and Beverly. There is no cost to ride the bus shuttle, or to access to the Orange Line inbound. A one-way subway fare will be required for the return trip on the Orange Line.
Improvements underway
During this time, the existing, aged, signaling system, which controls all tracks in and around North Station, will be replaced with state-of the art technology. When installed, the new system will reduce signal failures and train delays, and improve efficiency and safety. In addition, an ongoing signal system upgrade will be continuing on the Newburyport/Rockport Line.Updated: 7/5/2022 1:42 PM -
