Schedule ChangeOngoingWinter Schedule will take effect on Sat, January 23. Weekend service will only operate on the Middleborough, Fairmount, Providence, Worcester & Newburyport/Rockport Lines. Schedules are now available at South Station, North Station, Back Bay & MBTA.com.On January 23rd, the 2021 Winter Service Schedule will go into effect. This Schedule will introduce:
- Additional trains on the Middleborough, Fairmount and Newburyport Lines.
- A revised weekend service with trains only operating on the Fairmount, Worcester, Providence, Middleborough, and Newburyport/Rockport lines.

Service ChangeOngoingAll Commuter Rail lines will continue to operate on the Reduced Service Schedule on weekdays and normal weekend service through Friday, January 22th. 2021 Winter Schedule will take effect on Saturday, January 23.Reduced Service Schedule is available from MBTA.com/cr and at South Station, North Station and Back Bay.
Bikes will be allowed onboard all trains.

Station IssueOngoingThe pedestrian bridge at the Braintree Parking Garage is permanently closed due to garage renovations. MBTA.com/south-shore-garagesFor access to Braintree Station, travel down to the first floor and use the pedestrian crosswalk to enter the station at the street level.
This construction is part of the South Shore Parking Garages Improvements and Renovations Project. The pedestrian bridge will be replaced by a new garage lobby featuring elevators and stairwells.

Station IssueOngoingThe stairs between Columbia Road and Old Colony Avenue next to JFK/UMass Station is inaccessible until further notice. Please access the station from Sydney Street or Morrissey Boulevard/Mont Vernon Street while necessary repairs are being made.Affected routes:
