• Service Change

  The bus diversion originally scheduled to start today, Mon, March 20th, between Swampscott and North Station, has been postponed until further notice. Regular weekday and weekend train service will now operate between Newburyport/Rockport & North Station.
  The regular shuttle service between Lynn and Swampscott implemented due to Lynn station closure On October 1st, 2022, will operate as intended.
  Regular train service will also operate at River Works and Chelsea stations.
  A new diversion date will be communicated as soon as possible to allow for signal improvement work.

  Newburyport Line Train 161 (6:40 pm from North Station) has departed North Station and is operating 5-15 minutes behind schedule due to the late arrival of equipment.

• Service Change Ongoing

  Effective October 1st, Lynn Station is closed in order to be rebuilt as part of the Lynn Commuter Rail Station Improvements Project. A free shuttle bus service is provided between Lynn and Swampscott until a temporary platform is built.   MBTA.com/lynnshuttle
  During the station closure, riders may use Bus Routes 441/442 and 455 from Lynn to connect to Wonderland station for continued Blue Line subway service into Boston.
  Although Swampscott is a Zone 3 station, Lynn riders who board at Swampscott may purchase Zone 2 tickets and passes.
