Green Line Transformation Weekly Progress Update: November 29 – December 4

GLT projects will improve safety, reliability and access for Green Line riders and the surrounding communities.
The GLT team is working on designs for accessibility improvements at Hynes Station. The station will be modernized and made completely accessible, providing a better, safer rider experience.
Construction is underway on other GLT projects:
- Lechmere Viaduct Rehabilitation – 44% complete
- Green Line D Track and Signal Replacement – 76% completion at Chestnut Hill, 100% completion in the Reservoir area, and 95% completion at Beaconsfield. Work began at Newton Highlands and Grove Street area.
Additionally, crews completed work on the Fenway Portal Flood Protection project last week.

As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
