Pay Per Day

If you don’t need to park at an MBTA station most days, you should consider paying for your parking daily. There are a few easy ways to pay daily rates, depending on whether you park in a lot or a garage.

If you don’t pay for your parking before you leave for the day, you’ll get a ticket for the daily rate plus $.50. At the end of the month, you’ll get an invoice with a list of all days you didn’t pay and the amount you owe. Read our parking rules and policies for more information.

Garages

Pay stations

Each MBTA garage has payment kiosks where you can purchase a day parking pass, typically for up to 14 hours. We recommend prepaying for your parking in the morning to avoid lines during the afternoon rush hour. You can pay with:

  • Cash
  • Credit card
  • Debit card

Garage tap card

Prepay for a few days or weeks of garage parking with a tap card. Tap cards reduce lines at kiosks, and make entering and exiting faster.

To apply, just fill out a tap card application and bring it with you to the garage office or attendant where you like to park. Please note that tap cards only work at the garage where they’re purchased.

  • Cash
  • Credit card
  • Debit card

You can also pay with PayByPhone at any lot to purchase single-day or multi-day passes (5 or 14 consecutive days). If you park at a lot regularly, you may want to get a monthly parking pass.
